
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bowling Green State University
To enter the program, a student must possess Ohio licensure to practice as an LPN and be a graduate of an approved LPN program. A student must have completed all LPN courses and all science coursework with a āCā or better, as well as have a 2.5 grade point average in all prerequisite coursework. In addition, a student must possess credentials to administer medication in Ohio.
The following courses are considered Support Coursework. Students should be aware that some or all of these courses may be waived, depending on courses completed for their respective LPN programs

The consortium of the University Medical Center at The University of Toledo (UMC) and Bowling Green State University (BGSU) provides an innovative and unique baccalaureate nursrng program.
Students choose the university (BGSU or UT) that best meets their needs for general education, liberal arts and sciences; then attend MCO as seniors for online nursing courses. The Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is awarded by the respective university.
Medical University of Ohio is an academic health science center located in a residential area of south Toledo. Approximately 1800

Lorain County Community College, in cooperation with BGSU Firelands College, offers its NLNAC accredited Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Programs at the BGSU Firelands College campus providing nursing education to the Huron/Sandusky resident. This satellite programs provide the opportunity for residents of the areas to earn the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from LCCC. All support courses taken at BGSU Firelands College will transfer to LCCC. The clinical courses are offered at local health care agencies in the Sandusky.

Registered nurses (RNs) provide care to patients, families and communities and also work to promote health, prevent disease and help patients cope with illness. Registered nurses may work in hospitals, physicians' private offices, nursing homes, clinics, schools, work sites and in patients' homes under the direction of such health professionals as physicians, dentists, podiatrists, optometrists and others.
When providing direct care, registered nurses observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions and progress; assist physicians during treatments and examinations; administer medications; and assist in convalescence and rehabilitation.

As a consortium nursing program, The University of Toledo (UT) and Bowling Green State University (BGSU) make the Baccalaureate Nursing Program innovative and unique. This is a chance to combine the best of both worlds - the excitement of college life coupled with the challenge of a clinical setting
Admission to this program is selective and competitive. After admission to the university, a separate nursing application is submitted to the Admission Office at the Hamilton or Middletown campus. To be considered for admission to the program, you must meet the following minimum criteria:
Be a current high school student with a composite ACT of 23, a cumulative g.p.a. of 3.00, and a 3.00 g.p.a. in science courses (including chemistry with lab, and algebra I and II).
Have completed 12 semester hours (100 level or higher) with a cumulative g.p.a. of 2.50 and a grade of C or better in two of
The Green River Community College Practical Nursing program is a four-quarter program beginning each fall quarter and concluding at the end of summer quarter. Program capacity is 30 to 40 students, as related to available faculty. All applications submitted by January 19, 2009, will be included in a random drawing which determines priority acceptance into the program.
