If you are already licensed as a registered nurse, you can go through the Baker University School of Nursing's accelerated RN-to-BSN program to become a baccalaureate-prepared nurse. The program allows these students to obtain a Bachelor of Science in nursing through 30 credit hours of study. This degree option is for registered nurses only.

All admission materials must be on file in the Student Affairs office at least two months before the beginning of the semester. (Late applications will be accepted on a space available basis.) It is the responsibility of the applicant to assure that his/her file is complete. The Student Affairs Committee selects students from applicants who best meet requirements listed below. Registered nurses (RNs) with a diploma or an associate degree in nursing (refer to Admissions Requirements and Transfer Credit for specifics) may earn a bachelor of science degree in nursing through Southwestern College Professional Studies. This program builds on an RN's previous learning experience and is designed to position graduates for leadership roles in a variety of healthcare settings. Because Southwestern strives to accommodate your busy schedule, our program is completely online. Learners can finish their degree at their convenience without leaving current jobs or locations. The Practical Nursing Program is currently housed at Memorial Hospital, 925 North Walnut, 4th Floor, McPherson, KS, 67460. 620-241-4417. The Practical Nursing Program combines theory, taught in the classroom, with practical experience learned in the lab and clinical settings. Two programs are available. The full-time program meets four to five days per week for 12 months, beginning in June. Thirty-six students are selected. The part-time program meets two days per week for 24 months, beginning in January, with twenty students selected yearly.
