Avery W. Hall Scholarship - $500/year for the upcoming academic year awarded to a full-time incoming 1st degree junior or senior nursing major, current 2nd degree student or R.N. student with a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5/4.0.
Garland D. and Vivian J. Bull Scholarship - $200/year for the upcoming academic year awarded to an incoming full-time 1st degree junior or senior nursing major, current 2nd degree student or RN student with a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.0/4.0 and demonstrated financial need.
Marilyn Seidel Nursing Scholarship - $750/year for the upcoming academic year awarded to a full-time incoming 1st degree junior or senior student current 2nd degree student or RN student with a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.0/4.0.
Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society Undergraduate Scholarship - This one-time award of $250 is awarded to a qualified current 1st degree or 2nd degree nursing major. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or greater, rank in the upper 35% of class, and have completed ½ of the recognized nursing components of either the 1st degree or second degree track to be eligible for consideration.
Gaspar & Rose T. DiGiovanna Memorial Geriatric Nursing Scholarship- $500/year for the upcoming academic year is awarded to a full-time current 1st degree junior nursing major who has demonstrated a sincere interest in caring for older adult population.
Virginia Mills Edwards Scholarship- $1000/year for the upcoming academic year is awarded to a full-time incoming 1st degree junior or senior nursing major, current 2nd degree, or RN student. Priority is given to applicants who are permanent residents of Dorchester County, followed by those from Somerset County, Wicomico, then LPNs or medical technicians desiring to become a registered nurse. While included in the spring scholarship mailing to eligible students, this scholarship is selected by a committee outside the Department.
Lois Brunkhorst Nursing Scholarship - $500/year for the upcoming academic year is awarded to a junior level nursing major who is academically gifted and demonstrates an outstanding potential for a career in nursing. Minimum qualifications are junior standing, a permanent resident of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, a minimum college GPA of 3.0, financial need as verified by the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, a completed application form, and two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a nursing faculty member.

The RN to Master’s program is for RN students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree in nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Educator or Health Care Leadership track. The prerequisite for enrollment in this program is an active unencumbered Maryland or compact RN license. Upon admission to the nursing major at Salisbury University, students may receive up to 61 academic transfer credits from their associate degree program. After completing all non-nursing requirements for RN to MS students and 12 of the 18 nursing credits required, students having a GPA of 2.75 or greater may apply
Postgraduate education in nursing builds upon preparation at the graduate level and provides advanced role preparation and knowledge in a specialized area of nursing. The Department of Nursing at Salisbury University offers a post-masters program to prepare the masters-prepared nurse for advanced practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Students seeking certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner must complete an approved program of study, including a minimum of 23 semester hours of graduate credit with a cumulative average of 3.0 or higher and no grade lower than a C.

Upon application to the University for graduate study, students may simultaneously apply to the Department of Nursing for admission. In addition to meeting the general requirements for admission to Salisbury University graduate study, applicants for admission to the graduate program in nursing must meet the following requirements:
Be accepted for graduate study at SU by the Admissions Office.
Provide an official transcript as evidence of completion of a NLN or CCNE accredited masters degree in nursing.
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on all college/university courses prior to admission. Applicants with a cumulative GPA between 2.75
The Department of Nursing of the Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology offers a Second Degree bachelor's program for non-nursing college graduates leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. The curriculum, acknowledging the education, career and life experiences of the individual requires fewer pre-requisites for the nursing courses than the basic baccalaureate nursing program of study. Students may complete the second bachelor's degree in three semesters of full-time study.
Licensure as a registered nurse requires application to the State Board of Nursing to take the National Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), documentation of completion
