Practical Nursing from Brunswick Community College Tennessee
The Practical Nursing curriculum prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide nursing care to children and adults.
Students will participate in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) which is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Employment opportunities include hospitals, rehabilitation/long term care/home health facilities, clinics, and physicians’ offices.

The Associate Degree Nursing curriculum provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care to clients and groups of clients throughout the lifespan in a variety of settings.
Courses will include content related to the nurse's role as provider of nursing care, as manager of care, as member of the discipline of nursing, and as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

Continuing education and professional development are integral to the College of Nursing mission and strategic goals. In a collaborative effort to address the continuing education needs of nurses in the community, the Nursing Continuing Education Consortium (NCEC) was convened in 1996. This diverse group includes nurse educators and leaders from across the region, representing more than 15 major hospitals, health care facilities, and other organizations. Maureen Nalle, PhD, RN, is the convener and coordinator of the NCEC.

The Master of Science in Nursing Degree (MSN), is offered through the Regent’s Online Degree Program (RODP), and is delivered following the standard protocol established for the delivery of RODP courses and programs. Courses are offered each semester (fall, spring, and summer) through all six TBR universities. The program has been approved by each participating institution, and by the RODP Curriculum and Oversight Committees. The Middle Tennessee State University, School of Nursing recognizes the need for life long learning to maintain nursing competence in today's dynamic and changing health care environment. The program strives to provide for the varied continuing education needs of nurses in all levels of functional roles and various specialties.
Nursing Scholarship and Loan Information:
West Tennessee Healthcare Nursing Scholarship Loan Program
The William Lindsey and Sarah Francis Naylor Patterson Endowed Scholarship was established by Dr. and Mrs. Lynn Patterson of Germantown, Tennessee, in honor of his parents.
It must:
- Provide proof of active practice of law in a province or territory of Canada, as a nurse or nurse;
- Provide a note of its nursing education;
- Provide a letter of recommendation from the workplace.
The decision for admission to the program is taken by the Admissions Committee of the School of Nursing.
TERMS OF INTEGRATION
The nurse or registered nurse who wishes to pursue his studies full time in order to obtain the Bachelor of Nursing must apply in writing to the Registrar of the Campus de Moncton, Edmundston and Shippagan.
