B.S. in Nursing Program Option at Denver Health Sciences Center

Bachelor of Science in Nursing program consists of two options – Traditional and Accelerated. The same 66 nursing credits are taken for both options. All deadlines are the same for both options.
Traditional Option: This program is a full-time program only. The pace of this program facilitates integration of learning and acknowledges that students balance a number of responsibilities while completing their nursing education.
Start Dates: Every Summer session and Spring
semester of the following year.

Application Deadlines: Priority Deadline: August 31.

Priority candidates are among the first round of candidates to have their admission files evaluated and are notified of the admission decision in early December. All priority candidates who are not selected under priority review are automatically reviewed again during the final review. Final review candidates are notified during the first week of March
The application must be submitted electronically no later than August 31
The application fee must be postmarked no later than August 31
All transcripts must be postmarked no later than October 1 to quality for the priority review

Final Deadline: November 15.

Final deadline applicants are allowed to complete pre-requisites beyond the application deadline and still qualify for admission. Please see “BS Application Information” in the quickbox for more information. Notifications will be mailed to final deadline applicants during the first week of March.

Accelerated Option: Applicants who have earned a bachelor’s degree by August 31st, for the priority deadline; or by December 31 for the final deadline are eligible for the accelerated option. There is no expiration date for the degree. This is a full-time program only. This accelerated pace requires a more rigorous schedule, but also promotes enhanced synthesis and integration of program content.
