A student’s decision to attend Bryant & Stratton College should be based on interest in our programs and not on the ability to meet all college costs. Bryant & Stratton College believes students should not be denied the opportunity to pursue their career interests because of a lack of financial resources.

To assist students in meeting their educational expenses, Bryant & Stratton College participates in several types of financial assistance programs - gift aid (scholarships and grants), low-interest loans, and employment opportunities. In many cases, our Financial Services Office awards qualified students a financial aid “package” which includes all three types of financial aid.

Assistance with financial planning is available for families on an individual basis to help them determine how they can best utilize their own resources and other funds to meet college costs. The Financial Services Office will gladly discuss the various types of financial assistance available and will provide students with assistance in completing financial forms during their visit to Bryant & Stratton College.

How to Apply

Students are encouraged to meet with a financial aid advisor in order to determine financial aid qualifications. A member of the financial aid staff will help students to complete the following application forms:
Financial Aid Forms - The “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (FAFSA) is available from the Financial Services Office or apply online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov. The form must be completed and forwarded to the Department of Education, where it is then processed. In some cases, the school may process the student’s application electronically in order to reduce processing time. New York students receive an Express TAP Application (ETA) from NYSHESC. Eligibility for financial assistance is determined by federal and state agencies, which will produce and send an output document directly to the student.
Federal Income Tax Returns - Students may be required to provide the Financial Services Office a copy of their own and/or their spouse’s and/or their parent’s federal and state income tax returns, including schedules, as well as any additional income and asset information requested by the school.
Upon evaluation of the above forms, the Financial Services Office will notify students of their eligibility for financial aid or of any other steps they may take to receive further consideration for assistance.

Students are required to apply on an annual basis for financial aid consideration. Students may obtain the forms described above annually beginning on approximately January 1 at the Financial Services Office for application for the next financial aid year which begins on July 1.

BSN Admission Requirement at Glenville State College

While preference is given to West Virginia residents, qualified students from other states are encouraged to apply. To qualify for admission to the School of Nursing basic program, a candidate must have completed one year of the prescribed courses listed below. Applicants are eligible for review by the Admissions Committee after completion of one full semester of course work. The prescribed courses include:

BIOL 100 - 3 Hours
BIOL 101 - 4 Hours
CHEM 100 and CHEM 103 - 8 Hours
ENGL 101 and ENGL 102 - 6 Hours
NURS 110 - 3 Hours
PSYC 201 - 3 Hours
PSYC 250 - 3 Hours
SOCL - 3 Hours

These courses may be completed at Glenville State College or any accredited institution of higher education.

Application forms for the School of Nursing are available in the Nursing Office, Room 101, Science Hall at Glenville State College after December 1. Application for admission to the School of Nursing must be made by February 15 of the year the candidate wishes to be admitted. The applicant’s academic record is the major factor in the decision on admission. The West Virginia resident must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above on a scale of 0.0 to 4.0 on all college work attempted, to qualify for consideration. Residents of other states must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or above on all college work attempted to be considered. West Virginia applicants whose grade point average falls between 2.3 and 2.5 may petition in writing to the Admissions Committee for special consideration. Out-of-state residents with a cumulative grade-point average less than 2.5 may petition in writing to the Admissions Committee for special consideration. Such a petition must be submitted along with the application and must clearly state why the applicant should receive special consideration.

The review of applicants takes approximately two months. The students are notified by mail after review of all applicants is completed. Two weeks after receipt of the letter of acceptance, the student must send a letter stating acceptance of the position to the Registar, Glenville State College, 200 High Street, Glenville, West Virginia 26351-1292.

Nursing Admission Requirements at Darton College Georgia

In addition to the application forms submitted for admission to the College in general, students applying for the first time and those returning to nursing courses after a break in nursing enrollment are required to submit a separate application for admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Application forms are available in the Nursing Office and should be completed and returned to the Nursing Office.

The Associate Degree Nursing Program has limited enrollment, and students are selected based on SAT/ACT scores, college course grades, completion of required nursing related coursework, pre-admission test score, and other qualifications related to academic and professional potential.

Students who wish to be considered for admission to the nursing program must submit a nursing program application to the Nursing Office one semester prior to the desired date of admission. Contact the Nursing Office for application deadlines.

Consideration for initial admission or re-admission to the program will be given after it has been determined that all admission requirements have been fulfilled. Readmissions are based on available space.

Applicants accepted for a designated beginning nursing class who do not enroll in that class must re-submit an application to the Nursing Office to be considered for a subsequent class. Accepted applicants who fail to maintain admission standards will be dropped before beginning the nursing program.

Scholarships and awards

Since its foundation in 1592, Trinity has sought to assist students of limited means. Although financial assistance is not normally given to first year students, there are exhibitions that you may be entitled to. For students in later years provision is made through the Financial Assistance Committee. You should consult your tutor when you come to Trinity for more information.

Entrance Exhibitions

Entrance Exhibitions are awarded to Junior Freshmen (first year) new entrants provided that sufficient merit is shown in public examination results. Each exhibition is in the form of a book prize worth €254 over two years. The names of exhibitioners are announced during the first term, and the schools in which exhibitioners received their post-primary education are informed.

Sizarships

Sizars are Entrance Exhibitioners of limited means who have Commons (evening meal) free of charge. To be considered for the award of a sizarship application forms should be addressed to the Admissions Office on or before 1 October of the year of entry. Sizarships are normally tenable for the first two years of an undergraduate course.

Taylor Exhibition

This exhibition was founded in 1978 by a gift from Mrs. Eileen Taylor to provide an Entrance Exhibition to be awarded each year for a two-year period at the discretion of the Professor of Music in consultation with the School of Music Committee.

Reid Entrance Exhibition

In 1888, the sum of £6,200 was received under the will and testament of the late Richard Touhill Reid to found additional sizarships or exhibitions in the nature of sizarships. The awards, which do not exceed five in number, are open only to students of limited means who are not eligible for the higher education grant and who are natives of the county of Kerry.

Course overview

Contemporary trends and developments in the delivery of health care have brought about an expansion of the nurse’s role and responsibilities. These developments have resulted in the need to provide the nurse with a depth and breadth of knowledge at graduate level.

This degree programme aims to provide nurses with an increased level of knowledge, skills and attitudes about the principles and processes of practice. The programme will develop students’ knowledge concerning the nature of nursing and challenge their thinking and assumptions about their profession.

In this section we are providing our students with hundreds of scholarship opportunities. Some scholarships are from UMFK and some are outside scholarships. Outside scholarships are funded by a source other than from UMFK.

Read the short descriptions and the scholarship’s eligibility criteria carefully. If you think you may qualify, apply. Application instructions do vary. Pay close attention to deadlines.

UMFK Scholarships are marked as such. If you think you qualify, print the scholarship application, complete and return it to the Financial Aid Office by the date indicated or by March 1, which ever comes first. A student’s FAFSA information (for the appropriate year) must be on file with us at the time of scholarship review. To meet this time-frame, we recommend a student’s FAFSA’s be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov on or before February 1 of each calendar year.

Scholarships awarded through the UMFK Financial Aid Office are for undergraduates only. Some scholarships have specific restrictions such as place of residence, major, etc. Additional documentation may be required.

Applications are restricted to health and social care practitioners. Candidates should provide evidence of appropriate prior educational and professional experience and learning. This is normally expected to equate with 120 credits at level 2 (diploma level). Completion of an academic essay will be required on submission of the application form. All eligible candidates will be invited to attend for interview.

Scholarship of Nursing at Yu Da College Of Business

The YSU Foundation, with an endowment of over $125 million, is committed to providing this “edge of excellence” for the University and the students it serves. The Foundation, whose sole purpose is to benefit Youngstown State University, provides more than $4 million in scholarship assistance annually for its students. You must submit the YSU Undergraduate Admission Application (with transcripts) by February 15 to be considered for scholarships through the Scholarship for Excellence Program at Youngstown State University. With the exception of the University Scholars Application, there are no other application forms needed for YSU’s Scholarships for Excellence. Students cannot be awarded more than one scholarship through the Scholarships for Excellence program.

Scholarships of Nursing at Union County College

A scholarship is a sum of money awarded to a student to be used for educational expenses while attending Union County College. All students are invited to apply. Some scholarships require full-time enrollment, while others are designed for part-time or returning students or students who have specific needs.

Application forms are available from the Financial Aid Offices on the Cranford, Elizabeth, and Plainfield campuses. Completed application forms and the required recommendations must be forwarded to the Financial Aid Office on the Cranford campus. Students are urged to complete the necessary application form and recommendations well ahead of the specified deadline. In order to be considered for the scholarships that specify the student must demonstrate financial need, scholarship applicants must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarship applications and the required recommendations must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by the specified deadline. The applications are reviewed by the Faculty Scholarship Committee in June and scholarship recipients are notified in July.

A number of scholarships are available to students at Union County College. These scholarships have been made available from a variety of private and institutional sources. The following is a list of scholarships which are currently available to UCC students.
