APPLY NOW for 2009-2010 Financial Aid!

The 2009-2010 financial aid application year begins January 1, 2009 and ends June 5, 2010. So now is the time to submit the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor.

It’s easy to apply! Here are 4 steps to help you:
Step 1

Depending on your situation, you can choose from one of these three methods to apply.

1. Complete the paper 2009-2010 FAFSA and mail it to the Federal processor. To have your FAFSA sent to PCC, use the Federal School Code 001261

2. Continuing financial aid students can use the 2009-2010 Renewal FAFSA. The Renewal FAFSA is produced by the Department of Education and sent to you by mail. If you don’t receive your Renewal FAFSA by January 30, 2009 use the paper 2009-2010 FAFSA to re-apply or,

3. Use FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA on the Web. Students can apply for financial aid via the World Wide Web by visiting http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Do not submit more than one application!
Step 2

Approximately 4 to 6 weeks after you submit the FAFSA, the federal processor will send you a “Student Aid Report” (SAR) to the address listed on the FAFSA. The SAR summarizes the information you provided on the FAFSA. Before making corrections, we recommend you speak with a Financial Aid Office representative for assistance.
Step 3

After PCC electronically receives your FAFSA, you will be sent a document request letter
Step 4

Complete and return the required supplemental documents to the Financial Aid Office. All documents should be submitted at the same time. For PRIORITY consideration, all required documents must be submitted by the published priority deadlines.

To ensure that we receive your FAFSA information, complete Step 6 of the FAFSA application by indicating “Pasadena City College” as the school of your choice. Indicate our institutional code 001261 in the Federal School Code field and list the appropriate housing code.

NOTE: Incomplete documents will delay the processing of your application file.
