Student aid is available to help you with those costs that are beyond your own resources.

Our trained, professional financial aid staff is available to discuss how you can afford Harper College.

Our primary mission is to provide you access, to help enroll a quality and culturally diverse student body, and to support the retention of our current students. Federal and state aid programs typically target students with financial need, as do many of our institutional funds. However, we also award scholarship funds that are intended to enroll high ability students and a culturally diverse student population.

Harper College awards financial aid based on specific federal and state regulations and institutional policies. We may adjust a financial aid award if there is a change in the family’s financial circumstances. Do not let changes in your family’s financial circumstances adversely affect your academic standing. Please allow a member of the financial aid office team work with you and your family first.

All students complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Not everyone is going to qualify, but why guess. The online form can be completed in about 30 minutes. Besides, you may not need the money today, but if, later in the semester, you do, a FAFSA in already on file and the Financial Aid team can serve you more quickly.

You must file a FAFSA each year to reapply for financial aid.
