Bachelor of Science in Nursing admissions requirement at State University of New York at New Paltz

Graduation from a state approved associate degree program in nursing with a graduating cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better.
Current licensure as a registered nurse in New York State and professional liability coverage.
Ability to meet both college and clinical agency health requirements.
Completion of the following pre-requisite courses with a grade of C or better in each course:
* English Composition I & II 6 cr.
* Introductory Sociology 3 cr.
* General Psychology 3 cr.
* Developmental or Child Psychology 3 cr.
* Anatomy and Physiology I & II 7-8 cr.
* Microbiology 3-4 cr.

The Nursing Major:

Master of Science in Nursing Admission Requirements at University Of Southern Maine

Students applying for admission must meet the following requirements (certain areas of specialization may have additional admission requirements):
A baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited degree program (official transcripts)
A minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or a B average.
A course in introductory statistics which includes descriptive and inferential statistics.
A course in total health assessment.
A score that ranks in the 45th percentile (or higher) for intended major on the Miller Analogy Test, or combined aptitude scores of 1,000 (V.Q.) (or higher) on the Graduate Record Examination taken within the past 5 years.
Two letters of reference reflecting professional practice and academic achievement.
Evidence (photocopy) of current unencumbered licensure as a registered professional nurse in Maine.
