Schools are not the safe places they used to be in the past. There is a great demand for school nurses who will help to protect the lives of children, and tend to the mental and physical health of children. In addition to health and safety education, we help to nurture students so that they can have the ability to think swiftly in times of natural disasters and emergencies, and also that they can develop an ability for problem-solving.

Students can acquire a firm grounding in the basics and substance of the science of nursing and medical science. Furthermore, a special curriculum includes the importance of the teaching profession.

Furthermore, to help the students enter into a school of higher learning for a bachelor’s course after graduation from junior college, and to be ready to leave school as a highly specialized school nurse, a special two-year non-degree post- Junior College graduate program of nursing pedagogies was begun from April 2003. Based on the credits acquired in this non-degree special graduate program, a bachelor’s degree may be conferred by an independent administrative agency of the university evaluation and laureate organization. At the same time, students can also acquire a first level school nurse license.
