Diploma in Nursing at Bethlehem University Palestine

The Faculty of Nursing offers an upgrading program for practical nurses (nurses who have graduated from a 24 month nursing study program). The main purpose of this program is to provide a professional education for practical nurses in order to improve the quality of nursing care. This is a part-time program that takes two years (6 semesters and a total of 52 credits) to complete. After earning this diploma, the graduate can apply to the BSN program. Criteria for Admission: Tawjihi 60% and above. Two year Diploma in Nursing. At least two years of clinical experience. Satisfactory knowledge of English. Passing the entrance exam which assesses academic Nursing ability. Admission Process: Advertising for this program is done in the local newspapers and with letters to Palestinian health institutions. Each candidate will be interviewed by a selection panel from the Nursing Faculty. Neonatal Nursing Program at Bethlehem University Palestine

Description of the program of Diploma in Neonatal Nursing

This program provides specialized knowledge and skills applied in the nursing of selected human responses/ life processes as a basis for planning, implementing and evaluating nursing interventions for special infants and their families.

Criteria for Admission:

Tawjihi 60% or above.
Three year Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
Two to three years of nursing experience, preferably pediatric or neonatal.
Satisfactory knowledge of English.
Two letters of recommendation from employer / supervisor.
Satisfactory outcome of an interview evaluating background and suitability for a Neonatal specialty.

Admission Process:

Advertising for this program is done in the local newspapers. Institutions also will be invited to nominate suitable candidates for the program. Each candidate will be interviewed by a selection panel which requires evidence of the candidate’s educational and professional qualifications.
