It is important to start the application process early as places are granted on a first come, first served basis, should candidates meet the Academic Entry Requirements, provide the Essential Documentation and complete the Interview successfully. Lack of final examination results should NOT deter application as should the candidate meet all other requirements, provisional results / expected results will result in a provisional place being offered, pending receipt of examination final results.
Upon receipt of the Online Application, confirmation is sent to the candidate, requesting Essential Documentation. Once all the essential documentation has been received, candidates are called for interview or deemed not to have qualified. Following the interview, candidates are either offered a place; offered a provisional place (pending receipt of examination final results) or informed that they do not meet the placement requirements.
Applicants are admitted to the five or six year course depending on academic background. Those with the appropriate entry qualifications may be exempted from the Foundation Year and commence in the First Medical Year.
It is the decision of the Admissions Committee to recommend a candidate for admission to the five or six year programme.
