Scholarships of Nursing at Taylor University Indiana

In general, grants and scholarships are “free money” offered to you to cover part of your cost of attending college. These awards do not have to be repaid, so obviously these are the most desirable awards to receive!

Is there a difference between a grant and a scholarship? This answer depends on the school. At TUFW, we generally refer to a grant as an award for which a student is eligible simply based on their situation in life – where they live, their level of financial need, or similar factors. We define a scholarship as an award for which the student is eligible based on a specific individual factor or achievement, such as an academic or leadership award. Either way, the dollars generally do not need to be repaid.

Check out the links below for more details about various types and sources of grants and scholarships. If you’ve already started the process of applying for financial aid at TUFW, you can review your details at My Financial Aid (MyFA).

HOW FINANCIAL AID WORKS: Making College Affordable

DIRECT COST REFUND POLICY
A student’s total federal and state grants/scholarships (Pell, FSEOG, WVHEG, PROMISE, etc.), along with any scholarships from outside sources, when combined with scholarships, grants-in-aid and other discounts from the University, cannot exceed the student’s direct costs.  Those costs include charges for tuition and general fees, as well as room and board for dormitory residents.  Should the student’s total awards from these sources exceed direct costs, institutionally funded scholarships/grants will be reduced accordingly.
