Minimum of 15 semester hours of upper-level courses completed in the major. Completion of at least 45 semester hours through UVA-Wise. A minor includes at least 18 semester hours in the chosen discipline, 12 hours of which must be in courses at the 300-level or above. A course applied to requirements for the major may not be applied to requirements for the minor. Graduation requires a minimum of 120 semester hours. The Department of Nursing offers a program of study leading to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN). This program is fully approved by the Virginia State Board of Nursing and has been granted unconditional accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. After completing the prerequisite courses, students may apply for admission to the nursing major, which has two tracks.
